The Creeds Ruritan Barn has been expanded

In addition to the Creeds Ruritan Barn, two additional buildings have been constructed on the property. These two new buildings along with the existing “Creeds Ruritan Barn” will now comprise “The Creeds Ruritan Community Complex.”

Like the Creeds Ruritan Barn these two additional buildings will be available for larger community activities such as meetings, showers, weddings, reunions, the 4-H livestock show and sale, flea markets and corn hole tournaments, etc.

The enclosed building has been named in memory of Mr. Dick Cockrell (The Dick Cockrell Youth Arena). Mr. Cockrell was a former Director of Agriculture in Princess Anne County / Virginia Beach and also a distinguished “Ruritan Forever” member.

The open-sided building has been named in memory of Ralph Frost, (The Ralph Frost Activity Pavilion). Mr. Frost was a distinguished “Ruritan Forever” member and outstanding farmer in Princess Anne County / Virginia Beach throughout his lifetime.

Both of these men were very community service oriented in their respective ways. They each dedicated their lives to serving and helping others achieve as they strived to also achieve.

In addition to the new buildings the area under the pergola has been completely landscaped and picnic tables have been added. This could be the perfect place for your next outdoor party.
